经典赏析：Skeeter Davis
这首The end of the world虽然名不见经传，但却是1963年相当受欢迎的一首歌。它曾是钱柜杂志 (Cashbox，现已停刊 )该年度的年终排行冠军曲，也是乡村女歌手Skeeter Davis(史琪特戴维丝)唯一的传世之作。从歌词来看，表面上这又是一首失恋的情歌，但原作曲者其实是因为父亲逝世，觉得犹如世界末日一般而写出的这首歌。Skeeter Davis的演唱平实而动人，而且自己担任和声，虽然整首歌曲非常平淡，但却成就了一首经典。
