"你没法隐藏你撒谎的眼睛!"这句话多么有劲。我不知道有多少小伙子忍无可忍，在最后的时刻向负心女子掷出这么一句，那就像爱情中的真理一样斩钉截铁，铿锵有力，对所有自以为聪明的，被宠坏了的，撒谎成性的女孩来说，这就是空中一道正义的霹雳。男人总是容忍她们的小聪明，小阴谋，但也迟早会把她们戳穿。《撒谎的眼睛》影射了整个被物欲和距离感操纵着的人间，小市民文化遍地开花，撒谎成了日常生活的一部分，感情呢，被栓上了筹码。老男人和女孩子的故事仍然在上演，老歌也在不断被新唱，而这首带有道德判断意味的歌曲仍然是受欢迎的。你也可以声明对道德传统的叛逆，也可以说你的心上人从不撒谎，但老鹰乐队还是要弄一段神妙的吉他，然后轻声唱些旧调，让你摇头晃脑地掉进那传统美学的酒窖，拽都拽不出来。越是在激烈斗争的生活里，越是在尔虞我诈的城市里，越是有人爱着这样的怀旧，道德的小刺扎着我们疲倦的穴道，我们开始沉醉了，鼓掌并干杯。也许，那些可怕的女孩就坐在身边？但是，顾不了许多了，在这样的生活中，揭穿一切，怕是比被骗还要痛苦，你说呢？
