如果要评选历史上最好的合唱组合，这一对自然是最为深入人心了，如果要为青春选一首铭记和告别的歌，那这一首也必然在列。作为美国60年代最受大学生欢迎的电影《毕业生》的插曲，这首歌也少不了即将告别纯真时的甜蜜的感怀。民歌式土得掉渣的词，轻诉低吟的唱。在那个学生运动此起彼伏的时代里，在那叛逆的潮流中，总有一种校园独有的清纯与脆弱，需要被轻轻地唱出。传统的，美国式的痴爱被唱得那么古老，副歌又用梦幻般的呓语编制着关于战争的童话，没有人能一下子解释清楚这歌词和标题的含义，但是他俩就这么唱了，用并不传统的忧伤，仿佛集中一代人必将破灭的理想，用并不虚幻的呼吸，仿佛在我们耳边低语，触动了那些敏感的心。
