寂静之声



嘿！黑夜，我的老友，

《圣经》．〈旧约〉．〈但以理书〉中，“伯沙撒王的盛筵”一章曾写到：伯沙撒王在与众臣众宠妃设筵席寻欢作乐时，命人将其父尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷圣殿中掠回金银器皿摆上用来饮酒；此时忽然有人看到王宫墙壁上浮现出字体，伯沙撒王大惊，命先知但以理解释，于是但以理说道：“‘弥尼’，就是上帝已经数算你国的年日到此完毕。‘提客勒’就是你被称在天平里，显出你的亏欠。‘毗勒斯’，就是你的国家分裂，归与米底亚人和波斯人。”于是伯沙撒命人给但以理穿戴贵重的服饰。当夜，迦勒底王伯沙撒被杀。米底亚人大流士年六十二岁，取了迦勒底国。（详见圣经．旧约．但以理书．伯沙撒王的盛筵）

很多人都知道Paul Simon，却没多少人提起Art Garfunkel，是因为后者并不参与制作？还是他长得不够智慧？反正在人们熟悉的那些Paul Simon的老歌中，都绝少不了Art Garfunkel拨动心弦的吉他和天衣无缝的和声，比如那首《Scarborough Fair》。1941年10月13日生于纽约长于纽约的Paul Simon和他的同学Art Garfunkel成了好朋友，他俩取卡通电影《猫和老鼠》中的名字组乐队为“Tom and Jerry”。1957到1958年间他们的《嘿，女同学》成绩显赫，当时他们只有16岁。1964年10月他们与哥伦比亚唱片公司签约，发行了专辑《星期三凌晨三点》，整整一年之后，一首《寂静之声》使他俩脱颖而出，走红歌坛。同样是作为电影《毕业生》的插曲，这首《寂静之声》有着更为深刻的“青春”含义。那一年，Simon 28岁，他已提炼了民谣吉他演奏的精髓，他已写下了细腻醉人的诗歌；那一年，嬉皮士/运动/高涨了，人们往军/警的枪口里插着鲜花；那一年，青春还在燃烧，而且比遗忘更为强烈，醇厚。后来呢？嬉皮士/运动/烟消云散了，纯真的歌声也远去了。1970年，在他俩最后一次合作的专辑《忧郁河上的金桥》发表之后，他们各奔东西。
