有些乐队风光无限，有些乐队不按牌理出牌，有些乐队DIAO到不行，有些乐队嗑/药酗酒问题丛生，有些乐队随时都有解散的可能，这些特质Guns N' Roses（枪花）都有，但是，有一项特质不是每支乐队都有，那就是改变摇滚乐面貌的力量。站在重金属摇滚肆虐全球的交叉口，Guns N' Roses将狂暴喧闹的朋克精神，辅以一些蓝调、民谣的佐料，灌注在劲爆生猛的摇滚旋律上，出道之初就被全美传媒冠上“新世代的齐柏林”的封号，他们的快歌令人血脉贲张，他们的民谣照样令人感动万千，举凡所有关于摇滚乐的火力、热力、爆炸力、原创性、致命性、边缘性、争议性，Guns N' Roses样样具备，所发表的五张专辑、一张EP跟一张现场演唱专辑，张张都是“滚石杂志”4星级或5星级的满分评鉴，更是名列Q、Spin等各大杂志80/90年代重量级作品名单。枪花乐队最具影响力的曲目是“Don't Cry”和“November Rain”（后一首歌因出色的歌词获得了美国最佳社会先驱奖），“Don't Cry”在billboard排行榜上停留将近3年（147）周，创下了摇滚乐的神话。在这首歌中枪花乐队一改从前的愤怒激烈，两名主唱一沧桑一哀婉低吟出一段令荡气回肠的柔情曲，而歌曲表达出的无奈和失意正是愤怒的极至阿。在MV中，两位主唱的女友皆因他们的不够珍惜而伤心离去，甚至香消玉陨，整个MV用很长的篇幅来追忆从前的美好时光，悔恨的心痛表达的淋漓尽致。值得注意的是，在结尾的哀鸣中，主唱AXL ROSE迎着从窗顶透射进的光尘颤抖双手，倏的一支美丽的白鸽振翅而去，或许这哀鸣中还隐藏着再续前缘的一种奢望吧。
